Brenda has always lived on a farm and loved being around
animals. After leaving home and getting her own place, Brenda
started out with three dogs. Wanting to be able to groom her own
dogs, she decided to take classes on dog grooming. She
attended Kirkwood Community College in 1993 taking classes to
learn how to groom. She enjoyed it so much that she decided Dog
Grooming would be her career.

Brenda's first job as a groomer was at
Town and Country Vet Clinic in
Washington, Iowa. She also worked at
Michell's Clip and Curl and the Animal
Clinic in Iowa City. In March 2007,
Brenda joined the staff of Yuppy Puppy
Salon bringing with her 12 years of
experience. "I really enjoy grooming
and being able to make the dog feel
special and look good for their
owners." says Brenda.

Brenda has expanded from the original three
dogs to 20 dogs and 6 cats. She lives on an
acreage outside of West Branch, Iowa, where
she breeds miniature Schnauzers and
Pomeranians, with her husband Robert and
their three children, Ashley, Austin and Andrew.
