I grew up as a farm girl.  While my dad worked the fields and raised cattle and horses, my mom’s joy was breeding quality dogs.  With dogs to keep groomed, it was no wonder my sister and I learned a profession that would follow us into our adult lives.  My mom always said “Someday you may want your own grooming salon.”  She was right.  By attending seminars to keep up on the latest techniques, not only am I delivering quality grooming, I am also keeping my mother’s legacy of personal service, and the philosophy of treating each animal as if they were my own.



I previously owned a grooming salon in Lockridge, Iowa for 20 years before moving to North Liberty.  In 2003, we opened Yuppy Puppy in our home, and in 2004 a second salon was added.  We hired two groomers to help deliver and maintain the high quality service Yuppy Puppy Salon has become known for.



My husband Gary, who works at General Mills, and I live in North Liberty with our two Vizsla’s, Sophie and Macy.  We have three sons, wonderful daughters-in-law, and precious grandchildren.
