The salon itself is decorated in a manner that rivals high-end beauty salons!

Dog owners are welcome to watch the grooming - unlike most grooming places.

The salon is always very clean and welcoming. Dogs are given seasonal neck scarves and a bag of treats when they are done.

I have taken my dogs to Yuppy Puppy and Donna Hostetler for almost ten years now. Donna did such a wonderful job with my first dog, Mac, who passed away...I am now bringing my rescue dog, Gizmo, to Yuppy Puppy. What a great atmosphere to bring one's best friend!! The salon is bright, cheerful and clean. Donna herself is friendly, kind, patient with both the dogs and their owners. She truly cares about both, and obviously loves what she does. Mac and now Gizmo always looks so handsome and smells so good when Donna finishes. Donna also generously gifts her dogs with treats and presents through the year. I would recommend Yuppy Puppy and Donna Hostetler to anyone looking for a quality place to get one's dog groomed!!!

Donna and her staff are so sweet! Hamilton was right at home for his first grooming appointment. It was so easy to reschedule and she got back to me within the hour. Hamilton even came home with a gift bag full of treats.

Before I started going to Yuppy puppy, my Shih Tzu had gone to three other groomers from surrounding towns. I was never satisfied with the service given and they did not have a warm atmosphere. I wanted my dog to be treated like family and talked to decently.

My daughter in law told me about Yuppy Puppy in North Liberty. She was taking their Wheaton Terrier there. She liked the place and told me to go there. I decided to check it out and have now been going for ten years.

There’s a homey feeling when you walk through the door, cheerful smiling faces, great conversations, if you decide to stay awhile, which I do many times. Your dog is treated as one of their own and talked to with kindness, plus there’s always a dog or two there for doggy companionship.

If you have an emergency come up or bad weather hits or even a child’s event happening, they work with you to rearrange your appointment to suit you. In return I would do the same for them.

They groom the dog the way you tell them and when you pick them up they are so cute with bandanas bows etc. Their fur is clipped, their ears are cleaned and if you want they will clean their teeth also. They smell good and after all that they are very happy.

I am a very satisfied customer and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. I recommend Yuppy Puppy to anyone looking for these types of services.

My Max has been going to Yuppy Puppy for over 9 years now. It is a wonderful facility; the groomers are experienced and really care about your dog. They do an exceptional job on Max and he is always so good there. I would not think of taking Max anywhere else.

We are so happy with Yuppy Puppy, they make it convenient for us, we drop off Tucker (a schnauzer mix) in the morning before work and pick him up after work.. They have been pampering our Tucker for about 9 years. He goes in very hairy and when he we pick him up we can see his eyes again, after his day of pampering he is so soft, clean & smells so fresh. He also gets to leave with a new bandanna that matches whatever season we are in and he gets a treat to take home. We must say he gets spoiled at Yuppy Puppy. Thanks Donna for taking such good care of him.

Donna is skilled at individualizing her services. She was able to gradually increase the comfort level of my rescue dog. Sweet Pea takes enormous patience, but Donna and her staff have not abandoned her.

I found Yuppy Puppy after boarding my dog, Lucas. They were the only groomers able to get her in on short notice. We have returned monthly since then. Donna takes great care in making it a positive experience for Lucas. I am always impressed with how long he seems to remain shiny and smelling good after a visit. I have taken my Havanese, Maci, to Yuppy Puppy since the first haircut at 12 weeks. All the staff are fun and friendly. Maci is now 3 years old and my 5-year-old daughter asks to go with me to pick her up, just to see what she will look like. Maci has had some fun styles over the years, from nail polish to glitter, and her fabulous bows.

Lily, my 4-yr-old Zuchon, Donna has been grooming her since she was 6 months old. Donna and Yuppy Puppy have always provided consistent and professional service. The services are reasonably priced and in addition to basic regular grooming services, Yuppy Puppy offers many a la carte options such as ear care, teeth cleaning, nail trimming and anal gland expression.

Yuppy Puppy's success in its commitment to providing quality service is relected in their clientele consisting of repeat customers such as myself. It is evident that Donna and the Yuppy Puppy staff members love dogs and enjoy what they do. While Donna maintains a busy schedule, she has always been accommodating in terms of scheduling Lily when it is convenient for me, as well as allowing Lily to stay at the salon from 7:30 am - 5 pm on days she is groomed.

Lily is like a child to me and I would only consider taking her to be groomed at a reputable and high quality establishment. Donna has always exhibited the upmost level of care with Lily and Yuppy Puppy Salon is a clean, safe, and "homey" environment. By nature, Lily is shy and wary of new surroundings; however, she has never acted fearful or show reluctance when being at Yuppy Puppy. ... Donna communicates any concerns she has and provides knowledgeable and expert advice on everything ... On a 10 point scale, I would rate Yuppy Puppy a 10 out of 10.

Donna and the staff at Yuppy Puppy have been grooming our Shitzu, Sydney, for several years and we have been absolutely delighted with their work from the first visit. However - as most pet owners would agree - the groomings are only half of the puzzle.
